Phase Out — Independent living with a guide
Phase Out... Students live independently in the Coeur d'Alene region.
- Consult with Echo Springs faculty and access coaching
- Required to participate in some group activities
- Often mentor Phase Two students
Phase Out is designed to support students while building self-reliance and encouraging emancipation from Echo Springs.
Students continue to meet with ES faculty. They are invited to attend house meetings and share their experiences as well as receive support from current students. Students search for their own apartment or house with guidance and screening from the Echo Springs faculty. Key areas of support include financial accountability, school/work management and independence.
The length of Phase Out and areas of emphasis are variable and can be customized for each student. Personalized programs are developed in conjunction with the student, ES faculty, and their parents.
Several students have remained in Coeur d'Alene to complete their degree. On the basis of their grades, many have been invited to membership of scholastic societies such as Phi Theta Kappa and Psi Beta.
